About West Warwick Housing Authority

The West Warwick Housing Authority is a public nonprofit agency created under Rhode Island Law that provides the largest stock of low-income housing in the Town of West Warwick through its federally funded housing programs. The United States Department of Housing and Urban Development is the primary funding agency for the Housing Authority. The Housing Authority works in partnership with state and local agencies, private nonprofit agencies, and community based organizations to maximize housing opportunities for all eligible participants in a nondiscriminatory manner.

The Housing Authority is dedicated to excellence in providing quality, affordable and safe housing to eligible persons consistent with the State CHAS, local goals and concerns and the policies and practices of the Housing Authority developed in compliance with HUD rules and regulations. We endeavor to create effective partnerships to maximize opportunities that improve the economic and personal well being of the persons we serve. Our agency conducts its business in an efficient, professional, ethical and nondiscriminatory manner with equal opportunity for all.
